VEERSE MEER
Watersports paradise
The Veerse Meer is the most ideal sailing area for a day or even a week. From the harbour of Kortgene you can sail straight on to the Veerse Meer. The lake is long, in one day you can sail around the whole lake and also moor in the nice town of Veere. Keep in mind that Veere is about 1.5-2 hours sailing, if you want to visit Veere then a whole day rent is recommended. At the Veerse Meer there are several possibilities to moor at one of the many restaurants on the water for a bite to eat or a drink. The many islands in particular are like little paradises to rest or picnic. You can moor here for free or stay overnight. On almost all islands there are toilets. On the Haringvreter at Veere you even have a good chance to meet deer. On the waterfront you can regularly see wild horses and cattle grazing. Of course you can also swim in the Veerse Meer. Some boats even have a bathing ladder. The water of the Veerse Meer is very clear and it is one of the cleanest lakes in Europe. As an experienced sailor you can also choose to go on the Oosterschelde with the Fox 22. It takes about 45 minutes to sail through the lock.
Route
On the A58, take the exit towards Goes (A256) and at the top of the exit, slide onto a lane to the left, straight ahead towards Goes. At the traffic lights go straight on in the direction of Zierikzee/Rotterdam (pay attention to the red speed camera light / 70 km/h). At the next traffic lights you go straight on again in the direction of Zierikzee/Rotterdam (also pay attention to the red light/80 km/h). Take the exit Kats/Kortgene (N255) and turn right at the roundabout towards Kats. At the intersection turn right towards Kortgene. You are now on the Oudedijk, follow this road until the row of trees on the left stops in a slight bend, here you take the exit on the left towards Kortgene. Note, this sign is just after the exit so you drive past it quickly. You are now driving on the Oostdijk, follow the sharp bend to the right on the Kaaidijk and take the first exit to the left. You are now on the Veerdam at the Marina Delta Marina. Park your car in the parking lot on your right.

At Zierikzee follow the N256 over the Zeelandbrug towards Goes. Take the exit towards Kortgene (N255) and turn left at the roundabout (2nd exit) towards Kats. At the next roundabout go straight on (direction Kats) and at the intersection turn right direction Kortgene. You are now on the Oudedijk, follow this road until the row of trees on the left stops in a slight bend, here you take the exit on the left towards Kortgene. Note, this sign is just after the exit so you drive past it quickly. You are now driving on the Oostdijk, follow the sharp bend to the right on the Kaaidijk and take the first exit to the left. You are now on the Veerdam at the Marina Delta Marina. Park your car in the parking lot on your right.

Follow the N57 direction Burgh-Haamstede and take the exit Kamperland/Goes (N255). Follow the N255 direction Kortgene and take the exit Kortgene. At the top of the exit, turn right towards Kortgene and follow this road until the crossroads at the mill. Here you turn left in the direction of Kats and turn right at the next crossing in the direction of Kortgene. You are now on the Oostdijk, follow the sharp bend to the right on the Kaaidijk and take the first exit to the left. You are now on the Veerdam at the Marina Delta Marina. Park your car in the parking lot on your right.
